Sunday week past saw the City of Derry Fed back in Mullingar with 28 members sending 518 birds. With the wind remaining west a slower tougher race was experienced. Taking the top spot was the Londonderry RPS member Noel Murray who had a great team performance with seven birds in the frame for 1st, 3rd, 4th, 15th, 17th, 19th & 20th. In 2nd, 12th & 16th was John Healy competing in his first race since his recent return to the sport. Sean Gallagher completes the top five.

Other results: 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 11th - M & M Fahy; 10th - J Ebbs; 13th & 18th - T & M Gallagher; 14th - J & G Ramsey.

Last Saturday 24th July 60 members sent 935 birds to the NIPA's first mass liberation from Tullamore and taking the Red Card and also topping Section H are the Foyle partnership of Tony Mullan and Son. With another bird taking 18th, these fanciers will be more than happy with this start to the season. Runner up spot goes to Sean Duffy while Maiden City member John Healy scores again taking 3rd & 13th. The Bonemaine loft of Kieran Quigley & Damien Dunne are in 4th & 20th. Noel Murray, Londonderry RPS enjoys another excellent fly with 4 in the result for 5th, 6th, 17th & 19th.
