Roscrea (2) - 07/08/10

Post by willie reynolds »

The NIPA was back in Roscrea last week and yet again a late liberation was experienced by the 64 fed members who had sent 831 birds. With a north/westerly wind prevailing velocities were down and the birds were well split up. Taking the top spot this week are Danny and Gary Cooley who will be delighted with this performance on such a difficult flying day. Rock member Eamon Quigley puts up a great team performance to take 2nd,3rd,5th & 6th Fed while the Bonemaine loft of Kieran Quigley and Damien Dunne have 2 in the frame for 4th & 17th.

Other results: 7th,9th & 20th - M McCloskey; 8th & 16th - A McCrudden; 10th & 13th- P & M Healy; 11th - S Gallagher; 12th - J McLaughlin; 14th - L & M Moran; 15th & 18th - Concannon Bros; 19th - J Cassidy.

Congratulations to Sean&Son on winning the Waterside Club this week. A tough fly for the yb's having to battle with a N/Westerly wind on their face for the entire journey home. Sean's winner was bred from a pair of birds gifted to him from fellow fanciers P Breslin&Son. This pair also bred Sean his Section winner last season and contain the old Dordin bloodlines. Well done again Lads!
