30 member’s sent 143 birds to the final race of the season, the NIPA Young Bird National Rosscarbery, a distance of 250 miles to local lofts and with a strong West wind to contend with another difficult race was on the cards. Topping the City of Derry Fed on this occasion are Londonderry RPS members Pearse Breslin and Son who have featured in the top Fed ratings in the last few races. Rock Flying Club members Willie & Darren Hamilton enjoy a successful conclusion to the season with 3 in the result to take 2nd,14th & 16th while Maiden City member Robbie Hegarty has a stormer of a race timing 4 birds for 3rd, 4th, 7th & 20th spots. Federation Champions for the second successive year, Paul & Elaine Maxwell are also there again taking 5th, 9th & 10th. This loft had another fantastic season and featured well in the NIPA competition.

Other results: 6th & 12th - D Wick; 8th - Cooley Bros; 11th - Quigley & Dunne; 13th - J Coyle & Son; 15th - S Gallagher & Son; 17th & 18th - E Quigley; 19th - A McCrudden. Omitted from last weeks Fermoy result was Sean Gallagher & Son from Londonderry who took 8th Fed. The local members send their best wishes for a speedy recovery to Londonderry RPS member George Boyle.

The winner of this race was the fanicers peasre Breslin & Peasre jr who fly with the Londonderry Rps :good race lads :

Maiden City 8/32 - 1st,2nd&3rd R Hegasrty 1186,1184,1091, 4th Quigley&Dunne 1035, 5th R Hegarty 942, 6th B Page 800. Robbie finally gets his red card and does it in style taking four of the top five positions.
Strabane - 1stthru5th G Quinn 1022,1022,1010,979,941. Glen raps up the season with a win with a Kilpatrick.
