The second race of the old bird season was flown from Tullamore, over 22,000 birds were released at 10.00am in a Lt Westerly wind. The Coastal Sect F dominated the result and what a performance by Gordon Bros & Son from Killyleagh Central, as well as 1st Open NIPA they had a fantastic card and had no less than 32 birds in the Top 40. It is probably one of the best team performances ever put up in the long history of the NIPA, would never have been achieved in the “Old Day’s” when rubber rings were on the birds.
Member clubs should note to be included in the prelim Open & Sect Result they must Fax or E-mail a copy of result to the NIPA before 10.00pm on evening of race. Reports would be appreciated of the 1st Sect winner’s, and a photo where possible.
