***** Just over 1,800 birds have been race marked in Lisburn for the INFC Grand YB National due to be flown from Penzance today (Wednesday), this weekend we will have the final races of the year, the INFC birds are in Skibbereen with race marking on Friday and NIPA will be in Rosscarbery with race marking on Thursday. Watch out for any changes, it has been that sort of a year with terrible weather conditions.

Update Wednesday 14th September 2011 at 09:20 hours.
Pigeons have been held over today Wednesday.
This is due to rain in the Bude area, and a band of rain and drizzle on the channel moving South.

NIPA NEWS - The NIPA Have decided to race mark on Thursday 15/9/11 for a possible liberation on Saturday 17/9/11.The weather forecast we have for Saturday is North West winds, with showers.
UPDATE Thursday 15th September at 09.00 hours.
382 Members have entered 1879 pigeons in the Grand National young bird race from Penzance and are competing for £18,518.00 stg. pools and prizemoney.
The pigeons have been released in blue sky and sunshine at 08.45 the wind at the release site was a very light Southerly. On the line of flight it will be also be Southerly.

The NIPA are in Rosscarbery Sunday 18/9/11. I am hopefull of a liberation between 10.30am and 11.30 am it is an improving situation the cloud is starting to break in Cork at minute and it is brighting at the race point the wind today is north west Please return trophies in clean condition and claims for trophies to be made with in 14 days thank you.

UPDATE Sunday 18th September at 10:50 hours.
350 Members have entered 3037 pigeons in the young bird national race from Skibbereen and are competing for £ 13810.50 stg. pools and prizemoney.
The pigeons have been released in blue sky and sunshine at 10.30am, the wind at the release site was North Westerly. On the line of flight it will be also be North Westerly. Stopped clocks. Contact details for clock centre managers is in the race entry booklet.

PENZANCE RACE - RESULT SHOULD AVAILBLE LATER IN THE WEEK.
The NIPA are in Rosscarbery Sunday 18/9/11 the birds were liberated at 11.10 am at the race point the wind is north west and we have blue sky and sunshine at Cork airport the wind is north west at 20 knotts cloud broken at 1500ft visibility 10 klms + at Waterford airport the wind is 330 degrees ( north west ) 27 knotts cloud broken at 2600 ft at Dublin airport the wind is coming from 320 degrees ( north west ) cloud broken at 2400 ft visibility 10 klms + Please return trophies in clean condition and claims for trophies to be made with in 14 days thank you.
