Poor weather across Ireland delayed the release for all the organisations who started racing last weekend, all including the NIPA had afternoon liberations. Pride of place from Tullamore goes to Past President Herbie McVeigh for Killyleagh Central who records velocity 1730, just ahead of J J McCabe Newry & Dist 1st Sect G and McKinstry Bros Dromara 1st Sect D. We intend as far as possible to feature all the NIPA Section winners in each race, feel free to forward info to your area scribe for inclusion in the various reports, include a photo if you can. A reminder for all clubs to have their result at the NIPA for 9.30pm, on the day of liberation. The weekend result was completed early Sunday, well done to all concerned.

Kells Lofts best in Mid Antrim -
Due to poor conditions across Ireland early on Saturday the liberation was delayed until 2.00pm, birds were released in Tullamore County Offaly in a Westerly wind. Kells the pre-race favourites did not let us down and the local club filled the top two places in the Mid Antrim Combine where just over 1,88 birds were competing. Jeff Surgenor timed the winner at 16.17hrs flying 126 miles for velocity 1617, Scott & Clements on 1610, were runner-up. Best in Ballymena Mr & Mrs Sempey had the Card of the Day with 7 early birds for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and Jimmy Rock done the same in Harryville. Both lofts were Highest Prize-winners for the first time in their respective clubs last season.

performance proves. Past president of the NIPA , Herbie , started the season with the " Six Musketeers" all
being flown on widowhood and now records his 3rd x 1st Open win of his racing career. Herbies latest
champion is a 2 year old mozaic cock . The sire and dam are one of Herbies top producing pairs and are well
known in the local area for being parents of several top winners & p/winners before the weekend past . Sire was
purchased on one of Herbies trips to the Blackpool Show Of The Year and was bred by the famous Desbuquois
Bros from Belgium and was a direst son of their famous " Mika " ( 4 Times Barcelona ) . Dam of the latest
winner was bred by the late Eddie Wright of Fountainhead Stud and is from the Janssen family .
