Killyleagh Central top Combine from Talbenny
The East Down Combine were in Talbenny on May 30th for the first Cross Channel event of 2015 and with a light West wind the birds were away at 7.45 am .The leading birds made good time with the top velocities in the 1400’s . Looking at the open result the leading birds are spread across the Combine clubs with Tony Smith having the Open winner in Killyleagh Central very closely followed by the Dundonald partnership of Cowan & McCartney who have the next two and these take the top two in the West section .
The Combine go back to Talbenny again this week plus there is the Derek Wishart Memorial race from Pilmore Beach so all that is needed now for a good racing week end is good weather and already basketing for the Talbenny race has had to be put back a day .

Can I however congratulate the following on their success finishing as they did in the top 10 in the North section ,starting with McComb Bros Killyleagh Central 1st North 23rd open , Harper& Young 7th North section 33rd open and McCartan & Woodsides 9th North section 40th open .
