East Down Moot in Crossgar -

The EDC held a moot in Magee\\\'s Lounge in Crossgar on Friday night 23rd October what a fabulous night it turned out with the lounge packed. Very special thank you to all who donated pigeons for the sale, all the buyers, and all those who supported the night. Special thank-you also to the panel Sid Collins, Roy Irwin, Trevor Griffiths, and the very capable and knowledgeable chairman Wesley Sawyers who also conducted the sale of birds in a very professional manner. Thank you also to John & Dean Kirk, Francey Gilmore and anyone else who contributed to making the night such an outstanding success. Also not forgetting John Hollinger who although not feeling the best attended with the PA system. The final total of £2,500 was made up from entry charge, sale of birds and very generous donations from fanciers and friends. The cheque will be presented to Professor Joe O\\\'Sullivan from Friends of the Cancer Centre Belfast City Hospital at the East Down Combine Dinner Dance in Millbrook Lodge Hotel on Friday 20th November. Many thanks, Dorothy Smyth.
