The Wednesday 2-bird club liberated today Wednesday 3rd May 2017 from Navan racecourse in glorious conditions.
The wind at release was easterly and the birds cleared very well. I have included a video of the release and also photos of the lorry we own. Anyone looking to train with us just send me a private message. See Facebook

Well folks the first 2-bird race is over and the result is in.
What a close finish we had between two of the top lofts in our area Danny Bobby Coyle and Bond & Diamond.
.2 of a yard splits these two lofts in a very tight finish.
Congratulations
Go to Team Coyles on winning the first 2-bird race in what can only be described as perfect conditions for our first race.
This has to be one of the fairest races as it test the fancier by having to pick their best two pigeons to try and win.
The Coyles winning pigeon is a cheq hen who won the section from Bude last year so a touch of class comes to the front.
What makes this performance that extra bit special is the fact that Team Coyles are one of the longest flyers in the 2-bird.
The quality birds get a better chance to get on their line without the drag.
Well done Danny and Bobby on a fantastic win.

A Lot of people have been onto me about running a race on Saturday from Navan 20/05/17.
Know doubt due to no inland race with the NIPA.
If we keep the birdage the same as the NIPA at 50p a bird and get good numbers I will put up prize money based on birdage less running costs.
The only way I see this being feasible is if you all ring at your own clubrooms and I will bring the lorry to your club to collect birds on Friday night.
Then just ring off at your own clubrooms on the Saturday and send me the results and I will compel a result for all clubs together.
A number of us have been talking in the back ground of starting a North West Combine where you the members fly for good money.
This race on Saturday could be the start of things to come if it gets your support.
All those interested please let me know and if you need to get your birds away I have the facilities to hamper in the yard where 2-bird hamper from.
Can everyone pass the word around and see what response is. Just to clarify on the proposed race from Navan this Saturday It's a open race so available to every club.
