The come-back race from Fermoy in Co Cork was also delayed due to weather conditions, the convoy of 12,000 NIPA birds were released at 12 Noon in a West Southwest wind. Another difficult enough race with many gaps in arrivals, best local bird was timed by Billy & Joe Smyth of Ballymena & District, best in town, 1st MAC and 1st in the NIPA Sect B. From the same club J Eagleson & Sons finish 2nd and 3rd giving Ballymena & Dist a good result with the top three birds in town followed by T & M Morrow 1st Broughshane & District and Allen McBride 1st & 2nd in Harryville.

Allen McBride had the top two, the winner timed at 15.39hrs flying 200 miles. The yearling cheq cock was a good Van Loon that has bred numerous winners paired to a Jacobs hen from Jimmy Rock who himself finished 3rd.
