JOURNEY’S END - N.I.P.A NOTES – SECTIONS C, D, F, & G

After months of hard work, preparing and planning The First Race of the 2023 N.I.P.A Season got
underway on Saturday the 15 th of April. A total of 533 Members sent 14,849 Birds to Tullamore in
County Offaly. The Birds were liberated at 10:45am in Light Winds and perfect conditions for the
perfect opening race.
The Winning Bird from the Race belongs to Ronnie Witherow from Limavady in Section H. Many
Congratulations Ronnie on claiming 1 st Open N.I.PA Tullamore in the opening race of the season.

SECTION C REPORT
The Winner of Section C from Tullamore was P & M Travers of Glen H.P.S. Paddy & Marty pictured
outside their lofts holding their newly crowned Section Winner a Blue Yearling Cock. The lads have
got off to a flyer taking first position on their Debut in their New Club. The Duo finish 1 st Club (304
Birds) 1 st Section (2,631 Birds) and 89 th Open (14,849 Birds) Last year as a young bird this Cock Won
1 st Club, 2 nd Section and 2 nd Open Fermoy, This Cock was bred by Wayne Doonan – Cock Crow
Breeding Lofts and I’m sure there will be many more to add to his honours list in the near future.

Jennings pictured proudly displaying his Section Winner a Blue Yearling Cock. He Finishes 1 st Club

roundabout system for Gary and has proven himself already as a young pigeon. He was bred for Gary

SECTION F REPORT
The Winner of Section F from Tullamore was R. Moore & Son of Bangor H.P.S. This Race opened a
New Chapter for Bangor R.P.C with the Club competing in their first N.I.P.A Race. And what a first
Race it was for Bangor claiming most of the top positions in the Section. The Moore’s Section Winner
is a 2 Year Old Hen and was one of their most consistent Hens Last Year Winning many prizes in the
Club, Section and Open Placings in the East Down Combine. Her Dam was one of their Best Racing
Hens who was the Winner of 4 th North Section in the I.N.F.C Skibbereen Old Bird National. Her
Bloodlines are from their Old No.1 Breeder ‘Dakota 801’ and the Sire of the Section Winner is a
Grandson of ‘Donkere Leo’ and ‘Kittle’s Nest Sister’. Pictured all smiles (from L-R: Reggie, Micah and
