Diamond praised the efforts of all those involved in the last year doing a massive amount of work and congratulated all the winners. He invited Maurice Alexander and past President Sammy Thompson to present the New North Cup to the NIPA which was purchased with funds available when the club closed. It is awarded for Best Ave Penzance OB & Talbenny YB races which were the early races flown by the New North, the cup was won for the first time by Ron Williamson who probably holds the record for races won in the New North. The Presidents Cup awarded for dedicated service to the NIPA and kept secret until Ladies Night was won by Anthony McDonnell of Coleraine Premier. A former Kings Cup winner with Champion Bann King which still holds the winning distance record has served under three NIPA Sectys going back to the late Horace Devine, Anthony was a very worthy winner. He had a family wedding engagement and was unable to attend, the trophy will be presented at the next meeting.
