Kells & District season report
The Kells & District HPS recently presented the season awards at a function in their own clubrooms. The leading lofts were as follows:
A Barkley & Son won – Highest Prize-winner, Cross Channel Average excluding France, Young Bird KO, Young Bird Points Cup, Sizzlers Cup, Young Bird Inland Nat Dunmanway, R Logan Cup3rd & 4th YB Ave, Yearling Nat Dunmanway.
Surgenor Bros won – M Smyth Cup, 1st & 2n OB Ave, H Smyth Cup, 2rd & 4t Old Bird, Old Bird KO, Transporter Cup Dale 2, Ave 1st & 2nd Dale, Bude Cup, Inland Ave Cup, R Service Trophy 1st two YB plus first two OB, A Barkley Memrial Cup, T Morrow Memorial Cup C Duncan Trophy, H Noyd Cup, McKiterick Cup 5th Old Bird race, OB Inland Nat, Penzance Cup, Classic Cup, T Shanks Cup OB of the Year.
Henry Turkington won – Campbell School Cup 1st Dale, YB Cross Cghannel Nat Dale, YB Irish National, Don Graham Memorial Cup, Top INFC result 35th YB Nat, Boddy & Ridewood Cup, YB of the Year.
Gregg Bros, and B Swann & Son complete the list.
Sizzlers Cup - A Barkley & Son 50 Points, Surgenor Bros 32, H Turkington 30.
