10th August 2012 update

The NCC would like to congratulate John Hall on winning 1st Open NIPA from Tullamore on Monday! John was a past winner with us in the final race winning first prize of £10,000 and payed out straight to John on the night. John has a cracking team of Ventures with us and know doubt these will start to feature as the miles increase like they usually do as before.

If anyone is interested in purchasing one of these cracking ventures which seem to fly very well as youngsters just contact the Ncc office and we will endeavour to pick you one out or you can view them online in the photo section on the Ncc web page under the tab for ventures.

Everything looks good for a Sunday race from the Hotspot 3 so fingers crossed for another good race.

Regards NCC

09th August 2012 update Hi all,

Yesterday the weather was fantastic at the lofts and the birds had their freedom for most of the day and had a bath.

They are still exercising for long periods and breaking off into smaller batches and racing around the area.

Today the birds have been hampered early this morning and will be heading to the bay for another training spin from the 40 mile mark. This toss keeps their brain sharp and keeps them on their toes. We will get the training flight posted on the web site later.

Kind Regards NCC

08th August 2012 update

Hi all,

Wow we are already heading for the 3rd hotspot this sunday and early indications are for fine racing weather.

We experienced quiet a few problems with the live stream on monday which was out of our hands most likely caused by the host station losing signal strength hence pausing the stream over the web. We should have the new camera installed for this race on sunday.

Well the birds really are impressing us all here at the Ncc by the way they covered the journey in record time going into a good stiff north westerly. The first batch came right on line and numbered in the 20 mark and quickly trapped with the winner being announced than H and A Kallmeyer.

Hennie has a very good track record in One Loft Races throughout the world winning from nearly all of them. You might recall the famous Baby Bear winning 1st Open from the final race for Hennie. Hennie has kindly sent us some info on these cracking pigeons that are winning out of turn every where they go.

The winner is bred from our new breeding sensation for 2011 - 'MJ' - his babies has already been 3 x co-winners (first drop) on the first three Hot Spot Races in Moldova - the latest being 6th and 11th through the trap only 3 seconds behind winner.

The dam is 'Code Red' a proven stock hen and mother of many winners for us and for Dave Clausing, including his best racing cock in 2008 and 2009. We have only sent out 3 babies from 'MJ' to One Loft Races this year and already all 3 are winners / co-winners on the Hot Spot Races.

Thanks Hennie for the info and congratulations on winning your first Hotspot here at the NCC. We will see you at the prize presentation to present you with a beautiful trophy.

Regards NCC

27th August 2012 update

Hi all,

What a miserable day we are having for the bank holiday.

Yesterdays weather was good and conditions were for a very quick race and the birds took 3hours 8 minutes for the journey catching out all the spectators as the first group of pigeons arrived consisting of 6 at the lofts 2 minutes before the large batches came tumbling in, but for some unknown reason they seemed to freeze above the traps as if they had been spooked and no matter what was done they would not move and so these first pigeons were then caught by the rest of the group.

These birds came tumbling in on record time and quickly ran for the traps with the first being The Dambusters and is one of the ventures picked out by Brian Derbyshire for his good friends and was one of the incredible Luc Cuelman pigeons which are again flying very well again this year.

The NCC would like to congratulate the winners in their victory.

Some of the local lofts done well today and we would like to say well done to the BallyBogey lofts of Hanson + Harpur on finishing runner up and to Leo Flanaghan in 3rd place.

Another notable finish was the Hotspot winner for Damien Farrell and son who's bird was there again and could easily had won its second Hotspot as it had come with the early pigeons.

We cannot believe it is nearly all over again with only one more Hotspot left before the Grand Final from Cork where one of you is going to walk away with £12000 on the night.

If any of you are planning to go to the prize night I ask you all to give Sean a ring and book your tickets as these sell very quickly.

The NCC would also like to congratulate Karl Murphy and Glen Smith from Cookstown who race under the name of Cookstown Sizzlers here at the Ncc who yesterday in the RPRA One Loft finished 16th Open in the Final beaten by a mere 49 seconds for the £20,000.

The final Hotspot for the NCC will take place weather permitting on Sunday from Clonmel so stay tuned for all the latest news.

Yours in Sport NCC

Hi All,

Anyone looking to buy any of the ventures before the final race are welcome to ring Sean to secure your choice.

We will have a cut off time for selling ventures at 8pm on the Saturday evening before the Final Race as to give time for our admin team to complete all changes before the basket list is complete and not to cause any misunderstandings to anyone.

Also any of the ventures that are not sold will not be competing in the Final Race and will not be sent.

Remember the price of any of the ventures are only £125 so guys if your not in you can't win!

Yours in sport NCC

Good morning all,

Today the birds are in Clonmel a distance of 196 miles.

The birds were hampered last night from 00:45 and were on there way from the yard at 03:30 and on their way.

Reports from the race controller came through that the birds were released into beautiful conditions at 10:30 into a fresh south west wind and the convoy cleared very fast.

We are expecting to have the first birds arrive at 3 hours and 45 minutes and we wish everyone good luck and fingers crossed we have good returns.

Don't forget to join us on our live stream if you cannot make the race today.NCC1LOFT on justintv.com

02nd September 2012 Hot Spot 6 update

The Ncc liberated from Clonmel today at 10:30 into glorious weather conditions. At the loft a good crowd gathered to watch the final hotspot and try and win one of the much sought after Hotspots.

At 14.40 a batch of 15 pigeons were seen approaching the loft directly out of the south and were on the traps in quick time,
followed closely by another batch.

The winner of the final Hot spot is one of the racing stars these past few seasons at the Ncc none other than Karl Murphy of Cookstown.

The winning pigeon is a beautiful blue cock raced under the syndicate of Tullyhogue Tornadoes and this is the second time that Karl has won a hot spot.

Last year the loft won a hot spot and guess what, the winner is a full brother to last years winner.

Karl has now took over £1000 this term and has to be one of the fancied fanciers for the Final race.

Result of top five.
1. Tullyhogue Tornadoes

2. Wigston Fields FC
3. Down Syn

4. The Aliens
5. Alpine Lofts

Please check back later tonight for full result and race report.

Thank you all for flying NCC

04th August 2012 update

Hi all,

Just a bit of news to inform everyone that the final race is scheduled for this sunday and conditions look to be on our side so someone upstairs likes us here at the Ncc.

Wind conditions are presently showing westerly winds so a fast race is expected and we would estimate the early birds in around 5 hours plus.

We are looking to have them liberated no later than 9.00am as to give plenty of time to sort things for the prize night later in the evening.

Also Thursday is the final day to book tickets for the function so please let sean know asap so the staff at the Lodge Hotel can have a final head count.

We look forward to meeting up with everyone and just think one of you will walk away on Sunday with a cheque for £12000.
Also all ventures can be bought up until 8pm on saturday night and after that no more will be sold.

Look out through the week for updates.

Yours in Sport Ncc
