18th April update
The weather around the lofts has been very erratic with blustery winter showers and high winds, not ideal pigeon weather. But we try and get out different sections every day until they find there wings and then they will be all out together.
The reasoning different sections are out on alternate days is to give youngsters that are only finding their wings a chance to get accustomed to the surroundings of their new home.
We have had more birds arrive at the lofts with a team from H & R McCloy and also Reid Bros & H McCloy.
We have had fanciers ringing up looking to book spaces all we can say is the loft is nearing capacity and we might have to close sooner than anticipated which is something that we are privileged to say as this alone speaks volumes in the trust which is bestowed on the NCC by you the fancier.
We are working tirelessly behind the scenes with the daily husbandry and welfare of the birds which is expected naturally and all is going along nicely with very few problems. You are all more than welcome to ring or come to the lofts if you want to know how your entries are coming along or just for a cup of coffee and a chat.
Please ensure you have your entries in the loft by the 30th April. Yours in sport NCC
