The latest competition introduced for the members of the INFC has come from long serving member Robin Duddy of Ballyclare a former winner of the YB Nat Penzance. The 3 Bird Championship will operate in the Yearling Nat from Sennen Cove and the YB Nat which will be flown once again in 2009 from Penzance. The entry fee will be £5 which will cover a maximum of six birds, that’s three for each race. Members can enter one, two or a maximum three for each race, the entry fee will be the same, just £5. The prize is fantastic with Robin covering a guaranteed £1,000 to the winner and hopefully a number of other cash prizes once the £1,000 guarantee has been reached. David Black who operates the Single Bird Challenge has offered to help Robin out with the admin, members can pay Robin or David when we hamper the birds for the opening Nat race of the new season in Lisburn (or before that). The INFC Secretary will include a page for your 3 Bird Nom with the Yearling Nat forms and you can select them on the week of hampering. The same will happen with the YB Nat Penzance, the winner will be the loft with the Best Ave over the two races. Robin has also donated a new cup, something completely different which should attract a lot of support, who will be the first winner of the Robin Duddy Challenge Cup?

£1000 Three Bird Average
Yearling National and Channel Young Bird National

Robin Duddy has kindly presented a new trophy to the Irish National Flying Club, The Robin Duddy Trophy and also guaranteed £1,000 to the winner of the trophy. The winner of the trophy will be the best average velocity Yearling National and Channel Young Bird National. Up to a maximum of three birds can be nominated on the race entry forms on the marking night of each race. In the event of no winner entrants will have a free entry to the 2010 competition. Entry forms for the competition are included in the 2009 entry form booklet and the £5 entry fee plus completed entry forms must be with me by the marking of the Yearling National, Monday 8th June. These can either be posted to me, David Black, 11 Drumiller Hill, Dromore, Co.Down, BT25 1EP.
