Cullybackey HPS: The third club show took place with 7 members penning 50 birds in the young pair and 58 in old pair. The judges were Albert Young and Chris Moore from Ahohgill. Gibson & Dickey won the Old Pairs and J & J Greer had the Red Card in the Young Pairs and BIS. Young Pairs T/W (50 Birds) – 1st & 4th J & J Greer, 2nd & Reserve Gibson & Dickey, 3rd Russell Bros, VHC N & S Anderson, HC B Herbison, Commenced Reid Bros & McCloy. Old Pairs T/W (58 Birds) – 1st & Commended Gibson & Dickey, 2nd & Reserve Reid Bros & McCloy, 3rd J & J Greer, 4th & HC Blair & Rankin, VHC Russell Bros. Saturday - Young cocks and Hens handled.
Cullybackey HPS: The second show attracted a good entry of 125 birds in two classes judged by Ballymena & Dist Fanciers M/M M Sempey. Russell Bros won the Old Cock T/W while Brian Herbison took the Red Card and BIS in the Old Hens T/W. Old Cocks T/W (64 Birds) – 1st Russell Bros, 2nd Gibson & Dickey, 3rd & Reserve Reid Bros & McCloy, 4th E Davidson, VHC B Herbison, Commended D & R Turkington. Old Hens T/W (61 Birds) – 1st, 2nd, VHC & HC B Herbison, 3rd & Commended Russell Bros, 4th N & S Anderson, Reserve & Commended Russell Bros.

Unfortunately a few members got caught in traffic coming from Dublin Show and could not attend. Judge was Allen McBride from Harryville and the Red Card winners were Gibson & Dickey in Young Hens T/W and Russell Bros in the Young Cocks T/W, this bird also Best in Show. Young Cocks t/w – 1st, 2nd, & Reserve Russell Bros, 3rd Blair & Rankin, 4th & Commended J & J Greer, VHC N & S Anderson, HC Gibson & Dickey. Young Hens t/w – 1st Gibson & Dickey 2nd, 4th, Reserve & HC Russell Bros, 3rd & VHC Blair & Rankin, Commended J & J Greer. Saturday – Old Cock & Old Hen t/w.
Open Show will be held in the local Cullybackey HPS Clubrooms at Fenaghy Road on Saturday 21st December the usual 3 in 1 event. The show series will continue on a Saturday evening starting with Young Hens Through Wires on Sat 2nd November. Nov 9th Young Cocks T/W, Nov 16th Old Pairs & Young Pairs, Nov 23rd YC & YH Handled, Nov 30th Fancy T/W & OC Handled, Dec 7th OC Handled & Late Bred Handled, Dec 14th OB & YB Eyesign. Visitors will be made very welcome, good craic on a Saturday night.
