well thats Christmas over for another year some may be lucky to have a few pounds / euros left others looking forward to the next wage packet and then again some will be looking forward to the RPRA Blackpool Show the biggest pigeon show in Britain there will be everything the pigeon fancier could want and there will be loads and loads of birds sold between the show and sales the adverts will be in the Homing World heaping all sorts of praise on lofts and their birds for sale and some of it will be justified and if you get any group of fanciers together and ask whats the best family of racers out there you will get 100 and 1 different answers but they will all agree on one thing you cant fly a pedigree the only thing that will sort the winners from the losers is when the birds are liberated from the transporter so mickos going to let you all in on a secret anyone and I mean any loft looking birds do yourself a big big favour get yourself to Chimney Corner Football Club Antrim this Saturday for the

these guys fly in section C of the NIPA if I'm correct and I think I am section C is the biggest section in the NIPA now let me put that into perspective for those who don't know Jack,Nadine,Saul and myself fly in the Ulster Fed now if we won a Fed race we are maybe racing against 4-5000 birds on a very very good day, section C are sending 4-5000 birds alone so winning a section in my mind is equal to winning a fed race and if you win an open with the NIPA your racing against upward of 20,000 birds and these guys are really at the top of their game and not just for one year or as they say a flash in the pan and heres another thing to remember up until 2 years ago we had fantails and I honestly hadn't a clue about racing at the Campbell & Bigger sale at the start of 2013 I brought a bird at that sale that I paired to a bird that was very kindly gifted to jack by Davy (Campbell) and Hugh (Bigger) and one of the young birds bred by us from that pair went on to finish 10th in the 2013 North Coast Classic One Loft Race you only have to look at our Facebook banner a photo
