Fund-raiser @ Sarsfield RPC - 15/03/14

Announcement for a fundraising auction to be held in the Sarsfield RPC Dublin on the 15th March 2014, view 2pm – 3pm auction starts at 3pm.
Anyone who has ever been to our club house will know our bar manager Debbie, tragically she lost her son Brendan just before Christmas. Brendan suffered from a very rare genetic condition called Metatrophic Dysplasia it meant he was bed ridden for most of his young life, he was 23 when he passed away and because of his condition he was uninsurable, all money raised will go to pay the funeral and headstone ect costs. The family is steeped in pigeons with Brendan’s grandfather, granduncle and 3 uncles all involved in the sport. Debbie herself is always first to help out whenever anyone needs anything organized from a christening to a funeral and everything in between, so we felt it would be fitting if we helped out in her hour of need.
We have 30 lots available from all our friends around Dublin and beyond, as usual pigeon people come up trumps with some of the top flyers from all over giving their best.

Sire Belge 09 G/Son De Jan x G/Son Olympiade Sire to 2 x 1st feds with the above Hen Sire to this cock is Kate sold for 12000Euros & the Dam 8001 daughter of Olympiade sold for 14800 Euros both at Leos sale 2013

ohn Duthie has just been on to me, he has rang youngsters from both his gold cup winners today buyer can have a choice of a young one from either nest, how good is that.
Huge thanks again to everyone who donated a bird and of course Heno Byrne who will pick up the gavel again for this one.
