Gerry O'Mara didn't waste any time getting out of the starting blocks in 2009, winner of yet another 1st Open ISRF.

The Irish South Road Federation where in Thurles for their 1st O/Bird race of the season and early indications are that the ISRF Fancier of the Year in 2008 had the card of the day the electrifying Gerry O’Mara. I hopefully will have a bit more news next week reference the Federation.

Tallaght & District HPS 19/492 - 1st Alan Best & Son 1680, 2nd B Bradford 1657, 3rd R & R Coughlan 1652, 4th R & R Coughlan 1652, 5th Alan Best & Son 1638, 6th Alan Best & Son 1637. With 26 members sending 430 birds last year to this race from the Club, Alan Best was pipped to the 1st spot by Mr & Mrs Phelan but took the next five in the result. He has gone one better this year with a very good winner into Tallaght; will he better his tally of 7 x 1st’s last year??
