NIPA - There will be NO race from Truro this week as the weather report for this weekend is very poor so a race from Pilmore Beach has been pencilled in for Saturday but this is only a possibility at this time with the bad weather forecast so please keep an eye on the website for further updates.

The 5 bird from Mallow has been postponed until next weekend the 14th along with Truro there will possibly be a further update regarding the conditions of the 5 bird from Mallow.

The following week the 21st the Penzance Classic will be run in conjunction with the Penzance race and possibly a Roscrea comeback race as well.

Due to the postponement of the 5 Bird no databases will be sent out this week. Please pass the word.

Latest update is that this new plan has not been agreed by the NIPA Race Committee who intend to meet tonight (Tuesday) and set out something different.

Irish SR Federation: Marking for Pilmore Beach on Saturday for a race on Sunday.

The race committee of the NIPA have decided to race mark tomorrow night Thursday for the Mallow 5 bird for a possible release on Friday. Collection times are as follows
Derry 3.15 , Coleraine 4.45 , Cullybackey 5.30 , Muckamore 6.00 , Doagh 6.30 , Larne 7.15 Carrick 8.00 , Coalisland 5.30 , Loughgall 6.15 , Portadown 7.00 , Lurgan 7.30 , Lisburn 8.15 , Dromore 9.00 , Newry 10.00 , Killyleagh 7.30 , Ligoniel 8.00

The NIPA website will be updated tomorrow night with information regarding a possible further race this weekend

Update: Thursday 5th June 2014 at 21:30.
The race committee after consultation with the weather forecast agencies have at present decided to race from Fermoy. There is a possibility of a very early release any time from 06.00am. Weather reports are being monitored and please call back for further updates.

The additional race planned for this weekend had not been decided but race marking will not take place on Friday evening, a further update will be issued tomorrow evening. Fred Russell.

The EDC Weather Committee have decided not to hamper tonight for 2nd Talbenny. The next updated will be at 8.30pm tonight when a decision on Hampering for both Talbenny and Mallow races will be made.
The EDC Weather Committee have decided to delay a decision on hampering for a possible Sunday race from Talbenny until tomorrow morning. The next updated will be at 10.00am Friday.

The NIPA birds were diverted to Fermoy last night and not Mallow to try and avoid the bad weather that was approaching unfortunately it was raining on arrival at 4.00 this morning and still is at present this rain is already as far north as Roscrea so a liberation does not look likely at present although this cannot be ruled out the website will be updated later if there is any change. 425 Members sent 1935 birds to the 5 Bird Championship Race.
The pigeons have been heldover today (Friday) due to poor weather conditions in the release area. The race committee will be issuing an update this evening around 9 o’clock with regards to a further race or not this weekend.
The NIPA race committee have decided to race mark tomorrow night Saturday at your clubs for a possible release in Clonmel weather permitting on Sunday collections will be 1hour earlier than normal and this will be classed as an official race any club not wishing to send to this race could they inform the NIPA Secretary asap.


The East Down Combine Weather Committee have decided conditions are now favourable for a race from Talbenny on Sunday Hampering will take place tonight Friday at the usual times. Update on Mallow tonight at 8.30pm.

NIPA: At present the weather at the release site is not good nor is the weather en route at this time a release looks unlikely with tomorrows weather looking more promising the website will be updated if more information becomes available.
The Nipa have held over in Fermoy.

The East Down Combine Have Liberated in Talbenny at 7.15 Wind Fresh South East

The East Down Combine Have Liberated in Mallow at 7:30 Wind Strong South West

Irish SR Federation - Birds out in Truro at 10.45am
ISRF Liberation in Pilmore Beach at 1.15pm

NIPA - There are no liberations at present at either release site weather at release sites is not good at present but this is expected to improve the website will be updated later when more information becomes available.
The NIPA have liberated in Clonmel at 12 noon in a strong southerly no release at Fermoy as yet.
The NIPA have released in Fermoy at 1.30pm in a s/east wind

East Coast Fed (Dublin) released Pilmore Beach at 12.30pm
