GROSVENOR BREEDER BUYER 03 APRIL 2015
Last night seen the last of the Grosvenor H,P,S breeder buyer auction now to be honest I wasn’t 100% about the workings of it fanciers put a bird forward in the auction the birds start at £40 each but can bid as much as fancier will pay so the person that buys the bird and you can buy your own back will race it the race is the I,N,F,C Skibbereen Young Bird National the winning bird and it has to be North Section will get £1000 to the breeder and £1000 to the buyer now thats a nice wee earner the 3 sales the birdage total is 82 birds so 82 x £40 = £3280 now thats if each bird made the minimum of £40 which they didn’t some went for more so there going to a lot of other prizes so whats your chances well you need to training and racing that young bird to be in with a chance of winning and as we all know we can send to a race but that doesn’t mean we’ll get them all back so you’re in with I think a very good chance if you have a bird in the race it was very well attended about 50-70 fanciers from the I,H,U the N,I,P,A and members from the E,D,C and 42 birds on offer Ronnie Johnston the auctioneer wasn’t too long in getting thru them all 3 birds in each section of the show pen but everyone knew what bird Ronnie was auctioning it all went very well under his watchful eye before the auction started I was in the room with the birds a few of the Grosvenor members were there Ronnie came in and told them the way he wanted the birds brought in and put up as I said it was done under Ronnie’s watchful eye so thats it all done and dusted for this season bar the race if you missed it keep reading micko articails and I’ll remind you next season so all that remains is for Franko and myself to wish all those who entered and those who brought birds the very very best of luck to Paul Mc Carthy Joe Smyth and the others member who were helping very well done lads and the very best of luck
