Pigeon Meetings Update -
Kells & District will have a meeting on Thursday 4th February at 8.00pm to deal with NIPA Agenda. For their own club, resolutions , change of rules and resignations must be received by Thursday 11th February, the club AGM will be held in the local clubrooms on Thursday 25th February at 8.00pm.
RPRA (Irish Region) AGM – The Annual General Meeting of the Irish Region will be held in the Templeton Hotel, Templepatrick, County Antrim on Saturday 6th February at 1.00pm. Any member wishing to be on the INFC Committee please attend this AGM for Nomination. Fifteen positions are available and have to be confirmed at this meeting each season. The Agenda will include Minutes of 2015 AGM, Statement of Accounts, Election of Officers for 2016 and New Clubs. Following the AGM a meeting of Region Delegates will be held followed by a General & Appeals Committee Meeting at 3.00pm. Agenda for this meeting will include Minutes of previous meeting, Correspondence, Suspensions/Removals and one Appeal - Percy Son & Murphy v Randalstown HPS. The Secretary has asked for names of all members that have resigned or had a Clearance Sale in members clubs during 2015. This annual meeting will usually mandate delegates on voting procedure on the RPRA Resolutions for the AGM to be held in Coventry on Friday 26th February 2016.
The AGM for Ballymena & District will take place in the local clubrooms at Fountain Place on Monday 8th February at 8.00pm. Agenda: 1. Minutes of the 2015 AGM. 2. Annual Accounts 2015. 3. Any other 2015 Business. 4. Election of Officers for 2016. 5. Resolutions.
5A. from W & N Gilbert – That from next year each member when ordering rings take them in multiples of 20 to make it easier for the Ring Secretary when making up orders.
5B. from W & N Gilbert – That club members give an up to date contact number as a lot of the records are out of date.
5C. from J W Reynolds – Contact with club members will be made via text message to their Mobile Phone. Those with no Mobile must supply a Mobile Contact number Family/Club Member etc.
5D. from J W Reynolds – In the INFC Races which fail to achieve the pay-out as per the ordinary races, we pay the usual 1st £6, 2nd £5, 3rd £4, 4th £3, 5th £2, 6th £1.
5E. from J W Reynolds - In INFC Races exceeding the entry of 21 birds, all entry fees paid out for Top 6. That divide would be 35%, 25%, 15%, 12%, 8%, 5%. Less than six birds all paid by percentage.
5F. from J W Reynolds – Entry fee for INFC Races in the club is £1 per bird. Verification Cards to be returned ASAP to claim prizes.
5G. from Geoff Gilmour – All clocks should be returned after 2 hours, unless return time is changed by Club Officials.
5H from Geoff Gilmour – We delete the New Rule regarding accepting New Members and revert to previous system used.

NIPA Section B Meeting – A meeting for the NIPA Sect B Club Delegates/Officials has been set for the Harryville HPS Clubrooms on the Antrim Road for Wednesday 10th February 2016 at 7.30pm. This will be the opportunity for the local members to have the NIPA Agenda explained in detail, along with the proposed race programmes for both old birds and young birds. Only Club Delegates can vote at the meeting.
Mid Antrim Combine AGM – The meeting for this season will take place as usual in the Harryville HPS Clubrooms at 8.00pm on Wednesday 16th March 2016. As was agreed at the AGM last season the fees would increase by £1, each loft must now pay £3.00. Two Delegates should attend from each member club to conduct the business.
Ballymoney HPS will have a meeting in their clubrooms on Monday 8th February at 8.00pm to deal with NIPA Resolutions and Annual Fees. A further meeting has been arranged for Tuesday 23rd February the final date for collection of fees etc. Clubrooms will be open between 8.00pm and 8.30pm. Coleraine Premier HPS Club meeting to be held on Friday 29th @ 8pm agenda vote NIPA programs and any other business. The members of Rasharkin & District Hps send their condolences to Rosie Maternaghan on the death of her partner John McGowan. John raced in Rasharkin & district Hps as McGowan & Maternaghan and before moving house raced with Ballymena & District.
Maiden City RPS - Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 9th February at 7.30pm in the clubrooms.
The NIPA Annual Meeting is set for Glenavy on Saturday 13th February at 2.00pm, the INFC Annual Meeting will take place on Saturday 27th February. Ronnie Johnston has tendered his resignation as Patron. Please note the final date for joining this year has been brought forward to 12th April, don’t miss it! Only two Resolutions have been listed on the agenda for NIPA.
Resolution 1 Submitted by NIPA Committee. Delete NIPA General Rule 38 in its entirety and replace with a new Rule 38. Any fancier who has his/her suspension lifted by any recognised racing pigeon organisation or union and wishes to apply to a member club of the NIPA for membership. The NIPA Club must make representation to the NIPA for permission to accept him/her as a member.
Resolution 2 Submitted by Ards HPS and Newry & District HPS. Delete NIPA General Rule 78 in its entirety and replace with a new General Rule 78. The entry for Penzance/Sennen Cove Classic race be limited to 20 birds per member and this race be flown in conjunction with the NIPA Penzance/Sennen Cove race ie. this race reverts to be a Duplicate Race.

The Secretary has asked all clubs to supply an age profile of all members and that includes all members in a partnership. This is to assist in the on-going meetings with various Government Bodies in pursuit of getting recognised as a sport. A proposal to allow pigeon racing be designated as a sport for rates purposes has flown through the assembly on Monday. The voting of the members is listed on the various pigeon website’s including the one listed at the tail, this will be handy come the NI Assembley Elections in May!
