Pigeon Charity Auction - Please Note this sale was held last year.

A charity auction held in Wicklow for the Chloe McCall Trust, raised a massive €21,700. This will be used to help cover the cost for treatment in France, after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor some years ago.
Firstly the McCall family wish to thank fanciers from Cork in the South of Ireland, all the way to the North of Ireland who donated birds. Also many thanks to the very generous fanciers from the UK, England, Scotland and Wales for their support.
The auction held in Ernie\\\'s Bar in Wicklow Town was bursting at the seams on the day, as a massive number of fanciers turned up to support the cause, and also in the hope of getting a quality bird from what was said to be the best selection of birds from the best fanciers ever put together under one roof.

Henry Byrne was the auctioneer on the day, Henry did a great job and offered his services free of charge. Also, thanks to Janet Taylor from Pigeon Chat to Jimmy Hamilton for the massive amount of work he put into the auction. To Martim Emmel for the Benzing Timer to Tommy Dunne and all who sold tickets for the raffle. To the lads from Wicklow R.P.C, Eamonn O\\\'Brien, Alan Duffy, Aaron Dickenson who helped out on the day. To the following clubs for their cash donation- Cork Northern, Wexford, Arklow, Wicklow, Newtown/Kilpedder, Dungarvan, Cabra and to people from outside the pigeon world for their donations and last but not least the Irish National Flying Club(INFC) for their very generous donation of £1000.00 stg, which was presented by Mr. Ronnie Johnson on behalf of the INFC at the Penzance Marking Station YB National.

All in all this was a massive auction, which raised a great sum of money, and hopefully help get Chloe the treatment she so badly needs for a better quality of life.
Again, many thanks to everyone involved, without your help, this was just not possible.
