Fox Brendan,
It is with regret that I report the death of Brendan on the 3rd August in hospital. Brendan was a faithful servant to the pigeon fanciers of Lisburn and surrounding district for many years. He served as chairman of the Lisburn & District H.P.S. for over twenty years when membership was over ninety and the club ran smoothly with his experience and fairness. Brendan was a past president of the N.I.P.A. and served on the general committee for well over thirty years, he also served on the committees of the R.P.R.A. Irish Region and the Irish National Flying Club, and also was in charge of the marking and clock station in Lisburn for the N.I.P.A. Failing health forced Brendan to retire from racing several years ago but one great result was in the early seventies when he won the N. I. P. A. Skibbereen Young Bird Derby when the entry was over seven thousand birds. Brendan was buried in St. Colman's Cemetry Lurgan. To his wife Kathleen and family circle I extend the sympathy of all pigeon fanciers past and present in the Lisburn area.
