Lagan Valley/Ligoniel Friendship Penzance -

Last Saturday December 9th The Lagan Valley Pigeon Club welcomed the members of Ligoniel HPS to the clubrooms for their annual get together and prize giving. Over the past few seasons members from both clubs have joined together in holding a Friendship race from Penzance which takes place in June.
Some very good prizemoney is up for grabs for the guys who take part in the event and a great day was enjoyed by all in attendance with plenty of food and drink.
Lifting this years honours was the Ligoniel partnership of McMurray and Anderson who lifted a cool £230 also an addition £40 for the best 2 bird average. Well done Minto.
In second place is the Lagan Valley partnership of Spence Bros who had a very good year racing and lifting £100.
In third place was Frankie of the D McShane and son partnership who is never far away in the big races.
Well done to all prizewinners and members who competed in the race.
Thanks to Ken Wilkinson and the lagan Valley chairman Paul Frazer for presenting the prizes and to club secretary Robert Gore for arranging the diplomas.
Later in the evening their was the presentation of the Pat McConville memorial trophy for the Lagan Valley member with the best 2 bird average from Penzance. This year it was won by Mr Show Man Wee Timmy of the T&K MAHWINNEY partnership.
Well done to all involved in 2017 and good racing for the upcoming season.
