Morrow is best in the Mid Antrim Combine -
Last weekend the NIPA Sect B birds were included in the big Area Liberation from Tullamore over 7,000 birds were released at 9.15am. Fleming Bros in Crumlin & District had three early birds and topped the NIPA Open doing velocity 1536. Locally the best bird was timed in Broughshane by T & M Morrow doing velocity 1503, this one was followed by Jimmy Rock of the Harryville HPS, best bird in Ballymena.
The second young bird race from Tullamore saw T & M Morrow (Marcus and his late father Tommy) of Broughshane & District win 1st in the Mid Antrim Combine and 31st Open NIPA 7143 birds. Their dark chequer hen was timed at 11:41 for the 125 miles to their lofts just off the Doagh Road in Kells. Breeding is Van Den Brande x Vandenebele from good friends Gary Gibson and Davy Scott. Marcus has had a lot of success with this line of birds.

The winner was a Blue hen her sire Van den Bulck from Kevin Moran of Liverpool and the dam was their own Hybreght family that have topped Sect B before.

The winning blue cock is the same way bred as last season’s 1st Section B and 6th Open NIPA Yearling Hens National. Breeding is 3/4 Soontjen x 1/4 Frans Zwol. Club runners up 6 year old Sophie and 4 year old Abigail McCormick win their first ever prize timing at 11.49am for 126 miles to their Ballykeel Lofts.
