The NIPA have just released the Section Fancier of the Year awards for 2009, the prizes will be presented at the Annual Ladies Night to be held in Templeton Hotel, Templepatrick on Friday 13th November at 7.00pm sharp. Tickets can be ordered from Secretary Fred Russell, telephone (028) 92 692292 after 7.00pm, would all trophy winners please make a special effort to attend. Without doubt the major club in East Antrim is Larne & District, birdage can be over 1,000 and in the past season a number of top results were achieved by a good spread of the members. Local Shows will commence very soon, most clubs participate and dates have been set for both Harryville HPS and Ballymena & District. Harryville have the usual Thursday date starting 5th November with classes for Old Cock & Young Cock Through Wires to continue each week until 17th December. The annual Open Show is marked in for Saturday 5th December, the week before Belfast. Ballymena & District will operate on the usual Monday starting on 2nd November with classes for Young Cock & Young Hen Through Wires.

Secretary Edrick Davidson from Cullybackey HPS phoned to tell me that firstly the annual Dinner & Prize night will be held in the Michelin Athletic Club in Ballymena on Friday 6th November, cups and trophies should be returned immediately. The shows will have the usual Saturday night slot and commence on 24th October with classes of Young Cock & Young Hen Through the Wires.
Claims for the Northern Ireland Fancier of the Year and the Cornish Connection Cup for Lowest Winning velocity from Cornwall should be sent to Homer no later than Friday 23rd October. The winners will be announced as usual at the annual Pigeonnetwork.com Quiz Night of the Year which is planned this year for Friday 6th of November starting at 7.30pm and once again at the Ballyclare Comrades Football Club. Tickets for the event are priced once again at £5 which includes a Buffet. Tickets as normal are expected to go well among our very loyal supporters, with Mr Bill Cowell (Bilco) and RPRA Committee man Fred Bloor just to name a couple of our panellists from the first event which gathered so much media attention in some quarters making a welcome return once again this year the ever consistent Ronnie Johnston with a mind of information and stats, has once again agreed to be Compere for the evening.
Doagh & District HPS will be having their moot in McConnells of Doagh on the 8th January. The panel will be Brian & Ricky Hogg of Newtownbreda, EDC fancier of the year 04 and 05, J&J Hollinger one of Irelands top long distance fliers, and Davy Campell, NIPA section C fancier of the year this year. UK rep for Benzing will also be there giving a ETS demonstration and anyone wishing to purchase the Benzing ETS will be able to at the price of £198. There will also be a light supper and ballot, £5 per head pay at door.

Without doubt the major club in East Antrim is Larne & District, birdage can be over 1,000 and in the past season a number of top results were achieved by a good spread of the members. Mid Antrim Show Scene
Local Shows will commence very soon, most clubs participate and dates have been set for both Harryville HPS and Ballymena & District. Harryville have the usual Thursday date starting 5th November with classes for Old Cock & Young Cock Through Wires to continue each week until 17th December. The annual Open Show is marked in for Saturday 5th December, the week before Belfast. Ballymena & District will operate on the usual Monday starting on 2nd November with classes for Young Cock & Young Hen Through Wires.

Secretary Edrick Davidson from Cullybackey HPS phoned to tell me that firstly the annual Dinner & Prize night will be held in the Michelin Athletic Club in Ballymena on Friday 6th November, cups and trophies should be returned immediately. The shows will have the usual Saturday night slot and commence on 24th October with classes of Young Cock & Young Hen Through the Wires.
Claims for the Northern Ireland Fancier of the Year and the Cornish Connection Cup for Lowest Winning velocity from Cornwall should be sent to Homer no later than Friday 23rd October. The winners will be announced as usual at the annual Pigeonnetwork.com Quiz Night of the Year which is planned this year for Friday 6th of November starting at 7.30pm and once again at the Ballyclare Comrades Football Club. Tickets for the event are priced once again at £5 which includes a Buffet. Tickets as normal are expected to go well among our very loyal supporters, with Mr Bill Cowell (Bilco) and RPRA Committee man Fred Bloor just to name a couple of our panellists from the first event which gathered so much media attention in some quarters making a welcome return once again this year the ever consistent Ronnie Johnston with a mind of information and stats, has once again agreed to be Compere for the evening.
Doagh & District HPS will be having their moot in McConnells of Doagh on the 8th January. The panel will be Brian & Ricky Hogg of Newtownbreda, EDC fancier of the year 04 and 05, J&J Hollinger one of Irelands top long distance fliers, and Davy Campell, NIPA section C fancier of the year this year. UK rep for Benzing will also be there giving a ETS demonstration and anyone wishing to purchase the Benzing ETS will be able to at the price of £198. There will also be a light supper and ballot, £5 per head pay at door.
