KC Result 1981 - 1st Open E Reid & Son (Dublin)

Could this have been the best true long distance pigeon race ever flown into Ireland. Winning velocity 1111ypm so certainly no blow home, velocities dropping very evenly down to 158th. Shortest pigeon flying 510 miles and 25 flying over 600 miles. The race was over mid morning second day ,something I know as I finished 156th at 9.30am. This result shows that given the right weather conditions Irish pigeons are the equal of any in Europe. Milne Mairs PO.
