Fancier friends it’s with great sadness I report the death last night of the legendary Cork fancier Georgie Busteed a fancier befitting of that accolade by his deeds not only in his personal capacity but by his racing prowess. We were honoured to have had Georgie as club president in the former Cork Premier club. Georgie was old school hard and very fair the best school he insisted on no compromise on the health of any pigeon regardless. It was my great privilege to write a comprehensive article on him many years ago containing multiple knowledge bombs which crested great interest. A thorough gentleman and supreme fancier may he rest in deserved peace. Ger O'Sullivan PO.

Another Cork legend gone but will never be forgotten George Busteed passed away today at the tender age of 97.He along with his nephews left a legacy behind him.May he rest in peace. Cork Northern Piheon Club.
