We are now into our third week of collection of pigeons, and we promised a review after two weeks.

The review will be scheduled for Tuesday at our next committee meeting.

Clearly too many clubs` are not happy with the present arrangements, The TRANSPORT MANAGER , DRIVERS, MYSELF, ARE INUNDATED WITH REQUESTS AS TO WHY THEY ARE NOT BEING COLLECTED AT THEIR CLUBROOMS AS A TRANSPORTER IS IN THEIR VICINITY.

Everyone has a valid point.

Everyone seems to have forgotten that just a few weeks ago we had no drivers, and thanks to Sam Murphy intervention he persuaded Paul to change his mind and try and put a team of drivers on

This year we have 6 full time drivers last year we had eleven and this proved to be too expensive.

To assist the fancier, we dropped the price per crate by £5.00 one third less than last season, The Nipa will have a substantial loss this season. This can not continue in future seasons.

The club`s are part of the problem, they will not work with each other , they will not amalgamate, they will not come up with any viable solutions, they all recognise that changes must be made but unfortunately not prepared to do anything about it. THIS CAN NOT CONTINUE.

The membership has

chosen to forget that new legislation regarding drivers their hours and rest time imposed by law not by the Nipa, and the introduction of new tachographs to be fitted on all our transporters.

Annaghmore have come up with their own solution they have raised money to buy a small transporter which can hold up to 20/24 crates, they are transporting their club crates to where the Transporter is parked.

I have introduced a directive to all Drivers, and this is backed by the committee. Due to the massive increase in our insurance bill this season. All clubs must ensure that no cars, vans, lorries, etc are parked in the vicinity of where the Transporters collect your club crates. If these cars continue to park and cause any obstruction, the driver will not come into your club but will park somewhere safe and the members of your club will have to bring their crates to the transporters. There will be no exemptions, do not try and BRIBE AN EMPLOYEE, IF SUCH PRACTICE IS FOUND OUT THE CLUB AND ITS MEMBERS AND EMPLOYEE WILL BE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE.

There may be a few temporary changes tonight and I repeat temporary please do not contact me regarding these changes until the committee meeting next Tuesday

Best Regards Fred Russell CEO.
