Liberation in Skibbereen has been confirmed as 10.00am in a Lt NE wind to turn North en route. 489 members sent 3,754 birds competing for £16,848 in pools and prizes. In the race last year the entry was very similar 492/3,755, won by Cromie & Magee & Son of Ballynahinch recording vel 1650 for the 243 miles. Birds had been released at 10.30hrs in a Lt south-west wind. It will not be as fast today.
