For week six of the young bird season the NIPA birds moved on to Fermoy in County Cork, liberation on Saturday was at the early time of 9.45am in a helping south west wind. The birds romped home at over a mile a minute and most lofts have reported full returns. Best in the NIPA Sect B is expected to be in Crumlin & Dist for the second week, winners this time the Sect Fanciers of the Year for both 08 and 09 seasons Fleming Bros. Their Blue cock was timed at 1244pm flying 187 miles a son of the famous No 1 Pair Huybreght now responsible for 9 x 1st Sect winners. Super racing lads and many congratulations. In Mid Antrim Surgenor Bros take 1st Combine for the third time timing into Kells & Dist at 12.58pm, their Dark Ch cock recording velocity 1833.

Talbenny YB National – Race marking arrangements are as follows. Club entry fees etc to be paid in the Cullybackey HPS Clubrooms on Wednesday 25th August between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. Race Marking will be in the Cullybackey Centre on Thursday 26th August between 4.00pm and 6.30pm, all clocks to be set on Thursday.
