Auctioneers Comment:- Following David’s successful Auction last year with his incredible Van Loon family which brought many good performances for the local fancy including a ISRF Federation win for Mr & Mrs Declan Dunne of the Greenhills Club in Dublin with birdage exceeding 7,000 it was always my intention to invite him back to Ireland again in 2010. Upon hearing of David’s intentions with the birth of yet another Grand Child to scale down his hobby and concentrate on family life and distance racing, my first question based upon the sheer quality of youngsters presented last year was ‘What are you doing with your Van Loons’ he replied that if I where interested he would be happy for the complete team including stock pigeons to be sold in Dublin. David has had these special Van Loons for over 26 years purchased from the lofts of Planet Bros, where he achieved instant success racing many top racing pigeons during that time, he has matured this family over the years but has always been careful to keep together the pigeons that would complement each other. Equally over recent times he has been very careful sourcing pigeons that carry all the important Van Loons bloodlines which he felt would compliment his already elite team within the stock loft.
