Guy Barrett Trophy

The criteria for winners of this trophy are not just based on performance, but also on their attitude to the sport and how the young fancier helps the club. The Guy Barrett Trophy this year is being awarded to the young partnership of Jack Delaney & Ronan McCambridge from County Down.

While only 11 & 9 year old, Jack and Ronan have put in many hours work helping at their club in Banbridge, in particular carrying crates to and from the lorry.

Being around pigeons for the last twelve months has particularly helped Jack who suffers from Autism.  He’s now able to socialise more with other people and is a much more confident person generally than this time last year. Jack and Ronan have worked hard together caring for and racing their pigeons and have had great success in their first year of racing. Congratulations to you both.

Jack & Ronan receive a trophy and a medallion.
