Big Result for Campbell & Bigger from Penzance –

East Antrim pigeons were in Penzance, the final race before the OB Nat from St Malo in France, liberation was on Monday 24th June at 10.45am in a Lt North Westerly wind. Due to a poor weather forecast race marking at the weekend had been delayed until Saturday at local clubs. It turned out a hard enough fly, some lofts done very well while others were not so good. No complaints from Campbell & Bigger of the Eastway HPS, best bird in East Antrim winning 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sect and the winner placed 3rd Open NIPA with 9,235 birds competing. John White of Muckamore is next best velocity 1296, G Kincaid Sons & Daughter had 1st Ligoniel (1279) and M/M Robinson were best in Carrickfergus (1272). Beggs & Hall had the early bird into Larne, winning 1st Larne & District (1248). In the duplicate Penzance Classic the D & J Campbell & Bigger team will be well pleased with 1st, 2nd & 3rd Sect C and 3rd Open NIPA with 3,147 birds competing. NIPA lofts should be making claims to the Irish Region re Meritorious Awards in each Section, individual bird performance from Talbenny (2) and Penzance. Claims to Robert Reid inside 14 days please.
