NIPA Update – Weather forecast for this weekend is far from good and the cross channel race from Thuro has been called off as has the 5 Bird Mallow. It is hoped to be able to have a race from Pilmore Beach and this will be confirmed at the earliest opportunity. Plans are being put in place for the following two weeks w/e 14th June Thuro and the 5 Bird Mallow possibly duplicated out of a Mallow race. For w/e 21st June Penzance & Penzance Classic as it was previously and to be confirmed Roscrea Comeback. St Malo OB Nat from France will follow on Friday 27th June, all weather permitting of course.
This plan of action has not been accepted by the Race Committee who intend to meet tonight (Tuesday) to put something different in place. I will place any new info here as soon as I get it. HOMER.
The race committee have now decided to race mark on Friday night for the 5 Bird from Mallow a further update regarding a channel race this weekend will be posted on-line tomorrow night please disregard any other posts.
The race committee of the NIPA have decided to race mark tomorrow night Thursday for the Mallow 5 bird for a possible release on Friday. Collection times are as follows
Derry 3.15 , Coleraine 4.45 , Cullybackey 5.30 , Muckamore 6.00 , Doagh 6.30 , Larne 7.15 Carrick 8.00 , Coalisland 5.30 , Loughgall 6.15 , Portadown 7.00 , Lurgan 7.30 , Lisburn 8.15 , Dromore 9.00 , Newry 10.00 , Killyleagh 7.30 , Ligoniel 8.00 The website will be updated tomorrow night with information regarding a possible further race this weekend.

The NIPA race committee after consultation with the weather forecast agencies have at present decided to race from Fermoy. There is a possibility of a very early release anytime from 06:00. Weather reports are being monitored and please call back for further updates. The additional race planned for this weekend had not been decided but race marking will not take place on Friday evening a further update will be issued tomorrow evening.
