RPRA (Irish Region) Awards 2013 –

Secretary Robert Reid assisted with the presentation of awards during the recent NIPA Ladies Night held at Templeton Hotel in Templepatrick. Secretary of the Ulster Federation Jimmy O’Hara presented the Medals & Trophies. The Meritorious Awards are presented for individual bird performance from two cross channel races ie. Talbenny (2) & Penzance, across each NIPA Section. They were won as follows.

Section A – Joe McCormick, Cookstown Social, Vel 1263; Section B – Danny Dixon, Ballymoney, Vel 1292; Section C – D & J Campbell & Bigger, Eastway, Vel 1269; Section D – Jeff Greenaway, Dromore HPS, Vel 1277; Section E – M McDowell  & Son, Markethill, Vel 1309; Section F – P Lue & Son, Downpatrick, Vel 1192; Section G – No Claim; Section H – Alan Hall, Omagh & Dist, Vel 1268.

Overall Cup Winner: M McDowell & Son of Markethill , GB09D-43394, Vel 1309.

Irish Region Mileage Awards 2013: 0-250 Miles – P & J Boal, Dromore HPS, GB12D-06027; 250-450 Miles – P Swindell, Newry City; 450+ Miles – Ron Williamson, Bondhill, GB12B-04709. Best Young Bird Performance 2013 – I Gibb & Sons, Glenavy & Dist, GB13D-06142. Best All-Round Performance 2013 – D & J Campbell & Bigger, Eastway, GB10F-25006. RPRA (Irish Region) Young Fancier of the Year 2013 – Jack Delaney & Ronan McCambridge, Ashfield. Young Fancier 0-250 Miles – Delaney & McCambridge, Ashfield, GB13D-03254.

Best YB Performance 2013 won by I Gibb & Sons of Glenavy – Blue (h) GB13D-06142 won 2nd Club, 9th Sect & 22nd Open NIPA Area Lib (1);  2nd Club, 6th Sect & 12th Open NIPA Area Lib (2), 8th Club Clonmel;  1st Club, 1st Sect & 1st Open NIPA Fermoy; 1st Club, 27th Sect & 61st Open NIPA Tullamore.

Best All-Round Performance 2013 won by D & J Campbell & Bigger of Eastway – Blue (c) GB10F-25006 won 4th Club, 22nd Sect & 64th Open NIPA Roscrea; 25th Sect & 94th Open NIPA Fermoy; 3rd Club, 3rd Sect & 11th Open NIPA Rosscarbery Nat; 7th Club & 34th Sect Clonmel; 21st Sect & 45th Open NIPA Fermoy 5 Bird; 2nd Club, 3rd Sect & 8th Open NIPA Penzance.
