LIBERATIONS - Saturday 31/07/10

Post by willie reynolds »

The NIPA weekend report indicates sunshine and showers for Saturday with improving conditions later in the day. Race marking for Roscrea will be as planned Friday evening collections and hoping for a possible release on Saturday. This is race three of the young bird season and we are still waiting for summer weather. The Secretary was away last weekend and the fax malfunctioned. A number of club results are still missing including I hear Ballymena & Dist where the result was sent fax Sat evening and posted on Sunday morning. It would all go quicker by pigeon post, and we r supposed to be living in the modern era.

Week 4 for the Ulster Federation will be a race from Thurles and East Down Combine third race will be Mullingar.

Confirmed liberation will be listed later as will race info regarding the other organizations in Ireland. Please call back for further updates.

Ulster Federation Thurles - Released at 1.45pm, wind West SW.

NIPA Roscrea - Now thinking about a release at 2.30pm, to be confirmed. CONFIRMED at 2.30pm, wind SW.

East Coast Federation released in Pilmore Beach at 9.50am

Irish South Road Federation Mallow - Released at 2.15pm.

PLEASE NOTE

For the young bird racing it would be very helpful if all clubs could list their results on their own club site at http://www.pigeonnetwork.com

We have arrangements to lift all results placed here to be used in the general publicity, time is a massive factor at present and it’s getting almost impossible to deal with all calls, e-mails, fax, mobile phone etc, etc. Another problem is catching late results, they really do need to be placed by Sunday night at the latest, all the news coverage and results has to be ready by first thing Monday. Most clubs are already up and running, we can help the remainder to get started, and this is the easy way to have the result listed and be available for general publicity.willie reynolds
