North Coast Classic - One Loft Race

Post by willie reynolds »

While out and about on Bank Holiday Monday I called with the North Coast Classic One Loft Race based in Coleraine, birds had been released at 12.10pm in Tullamore, the final Hot Spot prior to the big Grand Final from Cork City next Sunday. Please note that the NCC Dinner Presentation will take place on Sunday 5th September in the Lodge Hotel Coleraine at 7pm, some tickets are still available. The first bunch of birds arrived around 2.45pm and the first bird to trap belonged to Pat Cregan and Noel Murray from Derry who were among the watching crowd. Also present were John & Viv Abernethy who bred the bird, one of the Venture Team put in earlier in the year. It looked like a very good final toss and we wish all competitors the best of luck next weekend. Many thanks to Sean and Peter Diamond who kept me up to date during my short visit.

The North Coast Classic team in conjunction with Jimmy Curry will present for auction, 10 only class pigeons from some of the sports top lofts. The sale will be held during the Gala Evening and all the proceeds will be donated to the Northern Ireland Hospice. The auction will be conducted by Ronnie Johnston Patron of the INFC. I am sure most fanciers are aware that young birds sent to this One-Loft Race are from the best that a fancier can supply and would be an asset to any stock loft. The first sale has been arranged for Monday night 20th September in Glenavy when a selection of the leading winning pigeons will be offered for auction. It will be a Monday Night Spectacular in GLENAVY. Details of the pigeons for sale will be on the NCC One-Loft website following the final race.

Race report from NCC. Tickets are still available for the NCC Dinner Presentation which will take place on Sunday 5th September at 7pm in the Lodge Hotel. Tickets can be purchased from the Loft or by contacting Peter Tel: 07591 122536.
