Lenny was one of lifes " Real Characters"
A great guy
Last year I paid a visit to Lennys House to get a picture after he had won the weekends race
As usual I was late as ever and not knowing where to go I arranged to meet him and Jim Braniff at a local garage
By the time I arrived it was late - Believe Me -
" No Problem" - Lenny said " I have got you a chinese , you can get it when you arrive"
Fam Dabby Dosey - GRUB -
I arrived and on arrival Lenny was quick to point out
" Chinese was shut but I got you a Dominos Pizza"
"Great Lenny" I said
If you saw the size of the box
It was an Ex Large One
" You shouldn't have bothered Lenny" I said , Jim Braniff listening
" No problem" Lenny said " I'm sure you are hungry"
We got the photo taken and then I was about to get stuck into the Pizza
I opened the box
ONE PIECE LEFT
What did I say ???
As I said Lenny was a " Real Character" and full of good craic
A GREAT GUY THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET FOR HIS WITTY REMARKS
