Tommy has reluctantly decided, due to health reasons, to offer to the fancy a select draft of proven producers plus sons and daughters, brothers and sisters
to many of Tommy’s top winning present-day performers. To clock from a top National event and win a position is every competitor’s aim but to time from all
six National races in a season and win positions in all events is the ultimate dream. Well, the man in question, Tommy McClean of Annaghmore, has done
exactly that and what makes it even more remarkable is he’s done it two seasons on the trot! In recent seasons Tommy has set a standard of racing that is
hard to match. In 2009 he was winner of the INFC Triple Crown Award and Tommy was quick to point out that he was the first Northern Ireland fancier to win
this award. To win the award the cheq hen was 5th Open INFC Penzance YB National 2007, 138th Open INFC Yearling National 2008 and 30th Open INFC
King’s Cup 2009. In 2012 Tommy had a remarkable season winning positions in all six INFC National races and finished up 3rd INFC National Averages. The
past season, 2013, Tommy repeated his 2012 performance, again winning positions in all the top National events. This is a remarkable achievement and Tommy
is one of the few fanciers in Ireland, if not the only fancier, to win prizes in all six National races two years in succession. Tommy recorded the following results
in the top INFC events in 2013: 274th Open Skibbereen OB Inland National; 29th Open Sennen Cove Yearling National; 58th, 144th and 174th Open King’s
Cup; 14th Open Quimper Friendship National; 15th, 31st and 71st Open Penzance YB National; 83rd and 119th Open Skibbereen YB Inland National. Racing
in the NIPA Tommy also recorded some top results including 29th, 47th, 72nd and 119th Open NIPA Penzance; 55th, 86th, 97th and 98th Open NIPA Portland
OB National; 22nd, 63rd, 111th and 185th Open NIPA Talbenny YB National; 19th Open NIPA Rosscarbery YB National etc. These are the main results, plus
many more top positions were won. On offer are the following top winning families:
