The NIPA started the season with a race from Tullamore on Saturday 18th April, almost 20,000 birds were released at Noon in an Easterly wind. The far North West filled the top places with 1st & 2nd Open NIPA going to H McNulty & Son of Strabane followed by Pat McLaghlin of the Maiden City in Derry.

The N.I.P.A. were in Tullamore for the opening old bird race of the season. The birds were liberated on
Saturday 18/04/15 at 12 noon into a Easterly breeze . Top birds on the day winning 1st & 2nd Club Strabane,
1st Sect H ( 85/1387) & 1st & 2nd Open ( 842/19,729) belongs to H McNulty & Son . Congratulations to the
father/son partnership on your latest top success . Due to 1st week hiccups results are a bit scarce but hopefully
all will be on track by next week . The Pigeon Craic Result Site - http://www.pigeoncraic.com/results had the usual
1st week hiccups but all is now sorted ( hopefully ) for the coming weeks race. I am appealing for all clubs that
have not already joined - please join - only one admin per club - so appoint someone to post your result on the

Section C Report
Top bird in Section C and having a fantastic opening race was the partnership of Rea & Magill of Larne & Dist
HPS .I said fantastic for the top winning loft won 1st 2nd & 3rd Section ( 177/3,575 ) plus took eight of the first
eleven placesin the club race plus winning all three Show Specials.. Winning 1st Section into the Larne area is
good racing but winning 1st 2nd & 3rd is awesome . The main man at the helm is Robert Rea better known to
all as \" Rab \" . Paid a visit to get a winning pic plus info on the top 3 birds . The first bird is a Leo Heremans x
Van Herck widowhood yearling cock .. Second bird is yearling hen on roundabout and is Van Herck , a sister to

The local birds were in Tullamore for the opening race of the old bird season, liberation in the County Offaly venue was delayed until 12 Noon, birds released in an Easterly wind. As expected the Rasharkin & Dist dominated the result, and we had another top performance for the Champions of last season with Steele & McNeill sitting proudly at the top. Their good Dark Cheq Lambrecht cock “Champion 02” was racing on widowhood and wins for the 5th time, a top result from a small racing loft. All member clubs have supplied names for the Champions League, the draw and result following the race from Tullamore will be available soon. Best in Ballymena was McAlonan Bros who timed a sprint Van den Brande Red hen, Ballymena & Dist had most birds away.

His Red hen was timed at 14.44hrs flying 130 miles to Glarryford, sent sitting eggs 10 days. The hen was Van den Brande bred from two direct pigeons, she flew very well as a young bird and on this occasion takes 2nd in MAC.

Entry to the Coleraine based North Coast Classic One Loft Race will close at the end of the month, 28th April is also the deadline for membership of the Irish National Flying Club.

The far flying North West enjoyed an opening race from Tullamore, County Offaly, the NIPA released just short of 20,000 birds at 12 Noon in an Easterly wind. The big Coleraine Premier had just over 700 birds competing and member lofts topped the NIPA Sections A & B. Hanson & Harpur had two early hens racing Roundabout previous cross channel winners the best of Alan Darragh. He will be well pleased with 1st & 2nd in Sect A and 9th Open NIPA. The Trevor & Jennifer McDonald team doing velocity 1417 had 1st Sect B followed by J Hutchinson & Son from Ballymoney. Over in Rasharkin & Dist last season’s Highest Prize-winners Steele & McNeill take 1st in Mid Antrim Combine.
