DUNDONALD PARTNERSHIP TOP EDC FROM TULLAMORE(2) by Clifford Browne

For the second Old Bird race of the 2015 season the East Down Combine were back in Tullamore but it was a different type of race from the first Tullamore which had a SW wind and high winning velocities . This week the wind was from the East and as I hinted last week if this were to happen the top open places were likely to be mainly on the West side of the Combine and this was just what happened with the first 13 places in the open being shared between lofts of members belonging to the Dundonald and Newtownbreda clubs and this weeks Combine entry was over 5,000.

***************

This week the birds move on to Clonmel and at present the forecast is for this great spell of weather to move away and the rain is expected to be here so it looks like this weekend will provide yet another type of race and it has just been announced that hampering on Friday has been postponed to be looked at again on Friday for possible hampering on Saturday ,that’s it for this week .
