Going forward into 2024 the Ballymena based MAC has the following clubs in membership.Ballymena & District, Ahoghill Flying Club, Rasharkin & Dist, Randalstown HPS,Kells & District, Cullybackey HPS, Broughshane & District and Harryville HPS.. New officials are Chairman Robin Service from Ballymena & District and Secretary Willie Reynolds from Ballymena & District. President is Danny Dixon. Mervyn Eagleson is PO. All the latest news and results will be listed here, including Champions League and OB & YB Knock-out. Fees for 2024 are £5.00 for Clubs which includes all the members.

Tullamore (1) - 16/04/16

This week’s result from Tullamore was a great result for J Eagleson & Sons. They timed a Chequered white flight hen at 12.20pm, recording velocity 1308 for the 126 miles. This hen is raced using the roundabout system. The sire of this hen is Luck Van Macklen and dam Van De Weyre both breed by Paddy McManus of Ahoghill. We had 14 members sending 319 birds. Young McManus & Sons were next best having the top four in Ahoghill with J & M Milliken winning Rasharkin for the second week and another very good card. The NIPA birds were released at 9.30am in a North West wind.

Sales re Len Russell, Cullybackey – At the present time birds are being sorted for disposal of stock on behalf of the late Len Russell, Ken Wilkinson will hold three sales in the Chimney Corner Football Club first of which was held last week. The breeding of the birds includes the very best of Busschaet, Heylens, Dordins, Panis etc. Pedigrees are brief but the quality is top drawer. The second sale will be the race team followed by the final sale of multi-award winning Eye-sign Family. No birds will or have been sold prior to the above sales.
