Ballymena lofts best from Tullamore -

Last Saturday the NIPA released in Tullamore, County Offaly the first mass liberation following two races of Area Libs. Liberation was at 10.30am in a Lt North West wind, top winners were timed just short of 2 hours, 30 minutes. Ballymena & Dist HPS had the best local birds Willie Reynolds in Ballykeel and Bertie Blair in Chichester Park both timed at 12.58pm both lofts flying 126 miles. The winner for Willie was a Blue hen that was the first bird in the opening Mullingar event, from a Dikie Smyth Vandenabeele that was 19th in the Galway Plate which was won by Cool Lass when paired to a Joop Koch hen from Eddie Wright purchased at a sale in Newtownbreda. Nigel McCormick is the loft manager, well done to him for all the hard work and a good birthday present. Bertie Blair timed the same bird as the week previous which won 1st Open NIPA from Mullingar 114/3357.
