Fermoy including the 5 Bird Championship was brought forward to Friday with all the local birds collected on Thursday evening. The appointed day of Saturday had a bad weather forecast and the decision was spot on with most of the bird’s home on Friday. The best local bird was to the in-form loft of Brian Swann who wins his 6th race of the young bird season recording velocity 1683 for the 197 miles. Birds had been released at 10.30am and Brian Swann timed his winner at 13.56hrs for 1st Club Kells & Dist, 1st 5 Bird and best in the Borough of Ballymena.
