The final young bird race of the season was flown last Friday from Skibbereen, best in the Muckamore Clock Station was Gregg Bros & McCandless from the Titanic HPS in Belfast, they had the Card of the Day 10 birds listed in the prizes from the entry of 20 birds. Liberation was at 10.00am and Gregg Bros & McCandless timed at 15.11hrs recording velocity 1424 for the 252 miles. Ken Wilkinson & Son from New Antrim doing velocity 1291 was 1st MAC and Bertie Blair was best in the Borough of Ballymena, a top young bird season in the local club. His Lambrecht Dark Cheq hen was bred by Steele & McNeill of Rasharkin and the bird had won 1st Club the previous week from Rosscarbery Nat.

Going forward into 2024 the Ballymena based MAC has the following clubs in membership.Ballymena & District, Ahoghill Flying Club, Rasharkin & Dist, Randalstown HPS,Kells & District, Cullybackey HPS, Broughshane & District and Harryville HPS.. New officials are Chairman Robin Service from Ballymena & District and Secretary Willie Reynolds from Ballymena & District. President is Danny Dixon. Mervyn Eagleson is PO. All the latest news and results will be listed here, including Champions League and OB & YB Knock-out. Fees for 2024 are £5.00 for Clubs which includes all the members.
