TRAINING IN WALES

Despite my best efforts to engage with Welsh Government to reach a position whereby training would be permitted (in line with the current restrictions), I am disappointed to say that there has been little interaction on the part of Welsh Government.

As you will be aware, the First Minister plans to highlight what restrictions will be lifted in his announcement this Friday (29th May).

In advance of Friday’s announcement, the Welsh Government has not provided enough detail to interpret what this means for training, and therefore unless the Welsh Government engage in discussion prior to Friday’s announcement, we will simply have to be patient and wait for that announcement.

Please be assured that I – along with my colleagues in the WHU – will continue to lobby the Welsh Government. We will do our best to ensure training and racing can commence as soon as possible for our Welsh members (which includes myself).

You can all help by contacting your local Assembly member/representative and asking them to support our aims to achieve safe training and racing.
