ULSTER FEDERATION – HORSE & JOCKEY
The Ulster Federation were in Horse & Jockey, Co. Tipperary for their 4th old bird race of the season, with a brilliant turnout of 79 members sending 2,007 birds.
The birds were liberated at 9:00am into a North North East wind.
Taking the red card this week, winning 1st Fortfield HPS 485 birds and 1st Ulster Federation, is Kevin Doherty. Kevin’s latest winner is a yearling blue white-flight hen called “Baby Doll”, recording a velocity of 1286.364.
This super wee hen is no stranger to the winner’s circle, having won 1st Federation last season as a young bird from Pilmore Beach, as well as winning the Ulster Federation Breeder Buyer, collecting £3,000.
Finishing 2nd Federation is Owen Farrelly of Wheatfield Inv, with a velocity of 1285.652. Owen’s winner is a 2-year-old blue cock raced on the roundabout system.
Taking 3rd & 4th Federation is J&D Braniff of Whitehouse, clocking two yearling cocks just 2 seconds apart.
